"Before last night, I had refused to have anything to do with Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest--refused to read the script, endure the ubiquitous stagings, watch the film. Perhaps this is excusable? High school and undergraduate years proved to be one nearly-unending stream of badly acted Earnest scenes. I am happy to say...that The Distracted Globe has cured me of such snobbery.

Director Jerrold Scott sets the play in the 1960s: high-fashion London. Expect delicious costumery and makeup, exquisite posturing, and music that kept several audience members singing along at intermission..." --Ubertati Blog Review, July 2010

"Jerrold made me feel comfortable to explore and try everything I would come up with, no matter how crazy. It helped me get a much richer performance... He also complimented me on nuances that I didn’t even realize some directors would take time to notice".--Bailey Varness, Los Angeles-based actor and writer

"Jerry doesn't allow for a moment to go unexplored; he's determined to coax the best out of you by sharing with you his confidence that your best has not yet arrived....but it will. He makes you wish you had the same instincts about yourself that he has".--Jayce Tromsness, actor/director/playwright; Co-Artistic Director, Distracted Globe
